    JOB DESCRIPTION - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AT HELEN KELLER NATIONAL CENTER

    The Executive Director at Helen Keller National Center plays a crucial role in overseeing HKS's mission with a specific focus on HKNC. Responsibilities include operating within established policies and guidelines to ensure the achievement of organizational goals.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Develop and implement HKNC's mission and objectives effectively
    • Coordinate national service delivery within different service areas
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders for reporting and communication
    • Oversee state contracts and service delivery programs
    • Assist in grant writing and execution to support the center's mission
    • Establish clear communication channels within the organization
    • Administer strategic plans and fiscal goals
    • Provide necessary reporting to relevant bodies and regulatory agencies
    • Manage and supervise organizational resources and personnel
    • Ensure cost-effective use of resources and budget management

    REQUIREMENTS:
    Minimum 15 years experience in a similar industry
    Strong leadership skills with a focus on accountability
    Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion
    Effective in building and leading high-performing teams
    Excellent communication skills and proficiency in American Sign Language
    Experience in performance management and a Master's degree
