    General Description:


    The primary responsibility of the Terminal Manager is to provide oversight of all Bristol Alliance Fuels ("BAF") terminal operational activities.

    BAF is a refined fuels distribution business located in Dillingham and Naknek, Alaska. Operations presently include bulk storage fuel facilities, gas station and marine fuels docks.

    In this role, the individual is ultimately responsible for the successful execution of the business plan, meeting all fuel operational and financial goals, keeping in compliance with applicable policies and procedures, and other duties as assigned.

    The position of Terminal Manager will report directly to the BAF Marine Operations Manager.

    Applicant will provide general oversight to the marine and land based fuel delivery operations in the field, as well as vessel refueling from the terminals, oversight of field supervisors and work crews, which includes being responsible for ensuring efficient scheduling, planning and C-Plan compliance for primary spill response, and spill cleanup.

    This position has supervisory responsibilities for BAF operations including bulk fuel facility and convenience store fuel related activities.

    Serve as Company representative and principal contact on all marine and land based field operations activities with personnel and customers.

    Review project proposals and plans to determine timeframe, funding availability, staffing requirements, and procedures to accomplish the work.
    Identify staffing requirements and arrange for recruitment and assignment of project personnel.
    Provide input into the operating budget and evaluate budgetary issues in coordination with management.
    Monitor the delivery and accuracy of procured materials to ensure the availability of resources for operations.
    Ensure established costs, quality, and delivery commitments comply with company and customer requirements.
    Ensure personnel comply with company and customer policies and procedures.
    Ensure all operations comply with federal and state regulatory requirements.
    Perform material estimating and cost scheduling as required.
    Conduct contract compliance reviews and implement corrective actions as required.
    Implement and maintain the operational requirements.
    Prepare project reports for management and customer review.
    Supervise and provide guidance to field personnel.

    Provide leadership and education in BAF zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

    Other duties as assigned.


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    Proven track record for effective team management and results-driven leadership.
    Skilled with Excel and Word.

    Ability to work in a team environment, make decisions, follow instructions, adapt to changing situations, and possess strong safety values adhering to all BBI, federal, and state safety practices.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
    Experience working with hazardous materials a plus.
    Skilled and experienced with Incident Command System at Branch Chief Level, with Operations or Planning Section Chief.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and severe outside weather conditions.

    The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles in a mechanical shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection and the use of safety eyewear is required in most working situations.

    MOBILITY:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses computers on a daily basis. He/she is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

    Specific physical requirements include, but are not limited to, stooping, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions.

    Employee must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force.


    HEARING:
    Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.


    VISUAL ACUITY:

    Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.


    LIFTING:

    Must be able to routinely lift up to 70 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 70 pounds for 20 feet.

    Requirements


    Required Qualifications:
    Associates' degree in a related field or a minimum of ten years' experience required. A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of the associates' degree.
    Have attained Person in Charge and Qualified Individual designations.

    Have conducted over 5 million gallons of marine fuel transfersMaintain a 24 hour HAZWOPER Certificate or can obtain in less than 1 monthHas possessed Merchant Mariner Master's License (100 Ton minimum), prefer an Unlimited Mate or higherMinimum of 15 years' experience in the maritime and oil and gas industry required, with at a minimum, 5 years dock operations experience in a supervisory position.

    Pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and a pre-employment Merchant Mariner / HAZWOPER Physical and wear a respirator (BAF provided)
