This role offers:

• Providing professional music therapy according to company protocols and accepted certification practices
• Informing and educating patients, staff, and facility partners about music therapy
• Establishing therapy objectives as part of the patient assessment
• Planning, reviewing, and assessing therapy sessions to monitor effectiveness
• Taking an active role in sessions by playing instruments, singing, and listening
• Encouraging patients to participate in the session and responding musically to provide comfort during end-of-life care
• Supporting patients' creative development and facilitating positive changes in their behavior and well-being

We are looking for a Hospice Music Therapist with:

• Bachelor of Music Therapy degree
• Current Board certified (MT-BC) credential according to U.S. Certification Board for Music Therapists
• State music therapy licensing where required
• At least six months of work/education experience with geriatric healthcare
• At least six months of work/education experience with end-of-life/terminal illness healthcare

Earn an estimated salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
