    Description

    The Concrete Science business unit at Braun Intertec is committed to being the consultant of choice worldwide for providing solutions to clients with challenging problems related to concrete materials and structures. The group will place a strong emphasis on collaborative problem solving, bringing together a high level of technical expertise using state of the art analytical tools. The Concrete Consultant will work on consulting projects related to concrete materials and structures as described below.

    Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical work on field and laboratory projects with oversight from senior staff.
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals for consulting projects.
  • Project related responsibilities consist primarily of conducting field and laboratory evaluations of concrete materials and structures.
  • Participate in the Concrete Science Department project pursuits and client facing meetings.
  • Travel up to 30% of time for project work technical support
  • Required Skills:

  • Ability to conduct technical field work on concrete condition assessment projects, including the use of non-destructive evaluation methods.
  • Ability to conduct technical laboratory work in support of laboratory investigations on concrete materials projects, including the use of laboratory analytical tools.
  • Ability to manage and mitigate risk in consulting projects.
  • Possess technical aptitude to solve technical issues where solutions are undefined in typical practice.
  • Able to interact with clients to help maintain project schedules and deliverables.
  • Ability to work within a strong team environment.
  • Minimum Experience and Education:

  • 10 plus years of concrete materials science consulting services.
  • Familiar with industry standards such as ACI or ASTM documents and guides.
  • Demonstrated expertise with the use of non-destructive evaluation methods for concrete condition assessment on buildings and infrastructure facilities.
  • 10 plus years work experience in a team environment in the aggregates, concrete or cement industry.
