Job Title: Snow Groomer / Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Department: Vehicle Maintenance
Reports to: Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor
We are hiring Snow Groomer / Heavy Equipment Mechanics to assist the Vehicle Maintenance Department in the maintenance, repair, and operation support of snowcats, groomers, and other heavy equipment used to keep our mountain in top condition.

• Perform maintenance and repairs on snowcats, snow groomers, and other heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems (12V & 24V).
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals to complete repairs.
• Operate snowcats and other heavy equipment in support of Mountain Operations when needed.
• Complete repair orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist the Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor daily in all other Vehicle Maintenance functions as required.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems (12V & 24V).
• Ability to read and understand schematics.
• Heavy equipment operation experience preferred.
• Welding and fabrication skills a plus.
• Must understand electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Strong electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills are required.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not mandatory.
• Availability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays; during peak season, schedule may exceed 40 hours per week.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to speak and read English, additional languages a plus.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures and weather should be expected, as work may occur outdoors.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment parts (up to 75 lbs).
• Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and work under or around heavy machinery for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity for handling tools, small components, and equipment.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery, equipment, tools, and machinery safely.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions as needed.
• Ability to work long or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
