    The Chemistry Department at Whitman College is seeking candidates for a one-year position in General and Organic Chemistry at the rank of visiting assistant professor, beginning August 2024.

    A Ph.
    D. is required upon starting the position.
    The successful candidate will offer courses primarily in General Chemistry lecture and laboratory.

    The balance of the teaching load will be determined through consultation and will likely include courses in Organic Chemistry laboratory.

    The annual teaching load is five courses.

    Depending on resource needs and interest, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to pursue research projects involving undergraduate students during the academic year or during the summer.

    Salary Range:
    $65,000-$70,000
