Job Description

The Technician will work on new product development projects for both new and existing products. Some travel may be required.
This position will:
• Assist in the testing/qualification of Adhesive, Ink and Writing System development efforts on NPD projects from conception through production launch, while following Product Development Process
• Require the ability to work effectively with other chemists/engineers and functions including Manufacturing and Quality
Qualifications
• College degree in a science discipline and/or evidence of laboratory work. Associate degree is acceptable.
• 10+ years in related field (HS Diploma), Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrates knowledge of problem-solving techniques and methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to maintain, set up and run typical mechanical lab equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to summarize laboratory testing and data using Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrates basic understanding of applicable manufacturing processing
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and basic project management skills
• Demonstrates effective communication skills-verbal and written
• Demonstrates ability to perform in a team environment
• Demonstrates knowledge of working in a lab environment
• Highly proficient in English; good communication skills
• Experiences in Consumer Product industries will be highly desirable.
