About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate with 2–5 years of experience in commercial litigation and/or tort litigation to join our growing team in our Greensboro office. This position offers significant hands-on experience, client interaction, and meaningful responsibility from day one.

The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills, courtroom exposure, and experience managing cases through various stages of litigation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of commercial and/or tort litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
• Take and defend depositions
• Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances
• Assist with trial preparation and trial support
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and experts
• Develop case strategy in collaboration with partners

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in commercial litigation and/or tort litigation
• Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills
• Experience handling discovery and motion practice
• Deposition and courtroom experience preferred
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team
• Licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar

• Personal injury, professional liability, or other tort-based claims
• Experience in North Carolina state and/or federal courts
