Senior Accountant – Direct Hire

We are recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic accounting team. Our client offers a very collaborative team-oriented work environment, a lot of flexibility including occasional remote, and ample growth opportunities. Salary range: $85,000-$95,000/year.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the GAAP lease accounting standard ASC 842.

Primary responsibilities:

• Assists with the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP, internal policies and procedures and the established internal schedule.
• Prepares monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Analyzes financial statements and reports for discrepancies and other issues.
• Prepares regular and ad hoc operational reports, project reports, investment reports and analysis.
• Prepares accounts receivable invoicing.
• Assists with bank deposits and other treasury functions.
• Processes benefits information and transactions and completes year-end reporting.
• Tracks and maintains fixed assets and general fixed asset account group
• Assists with year-end audits and the annual budget process.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is required. Minimum 3-5 years professional experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Knowledge of The GAAP lease accounting standard ASC 842.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including familiarity with vlookups, pivot tables, etc.
• Strong experience in month-end closures required.
• Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, fixed assets, and data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
