    Commercial Construction Project Manager - Corporate Interiors

    Job Description:

    A Project Manager (PM) oversees, coordinates, executes, and supervises all aspects required to complete the project on schedule, within the specified budget, and up to the designated quality standards. The PM assumes a leadership role, acting as the bridge between project team members to advocate for the interests of both the organization and clients in all aspects, while embodying the traits of a middle-tier leader. The PM serves as the key figurehead for the construction project.

    Responsibilities:

    • Adhere to HITT's safety standards rigorously, ensuring the necessary documentation is properly maintained
    • Establish and oversee the project budget for all designated projects
    • Create and collaborate on pre-construction RFP packages
    • Lead project meetings, set milestones, and compose monthly reports for stakeholders
    • Institute job processes (RFIs, submittals, pay applications), approve pay applications, and negotiate subcontract change orders
    • Manage project scheduling, ensure quality control, and define overall project logistics
    • Efficiently handle the project closeout process
    • Engage with new and existing customers to understand their requirements and demonstrate how our services can meet their needs
    • Supervise support roles such as assistant project manager, administrative assistant, MEP managers, safety team members, etc.
    • Collaborate closely with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project's lifecycle

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma required; a four-year degree from an accredited university with a focus on construction, engineering, or business is highly preferred
    • Alternatively, relevant work experience will be considered in place of a degree
    • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, including working with a commercial general contractor
    • Prior experience in a project management role with the capacity to handle multiple projects concurrently
    • Proficiency in sector/project-specific software systems, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, JD Edwards
    • Expertise in interpreting construction drawings and updating relevant project-related documentation
    • Ability to mobilize essential resources - people, tools, time - to meet strict deadlines and achieve desired outcomes
    • Understanding of current market conditions, pricing norms, and trends
    • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, maintain an optimistic attitude towards construction and the industry, and communicate effectively and professionally
    • Take the initiative, exhibit integrity aligned with The HITT Way and the company's core values, and aim for continuous self-improvement
    • Recognize and implement quality standards, adapt to changing technology, and collaborate effectively with diverse individuals
    • Foster positive relationships with various stakeholders and approach all situations with a customer-centric mindset
    • Coach and educate junior operations team members, sustain client relationships, and discern priority tasks effectively
    • Be respectful, punctual, engaged, and considerate of others
