Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Controls Engineer to join our Engineering team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of cutting-edge therapies and make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize control systems for manufacturing processes, including but not limited to bioreactors, purification systems, and filling equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, automation engineers, and quality assurance, to define control system requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of control systems.
Provide technical expertise and support for process validation activities, including writing and executing validation protocols.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and process optimization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Master's degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in control system design, development, and implementation, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and SCADA systems.
Strong understanding of control system hardware and software, including sensors, actuators, PID loops, and batch processing.
Experience with regulatory requirements, such as cGMP, FDA guidelines, and 21 CFR Part 11.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
