    Description


    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced operations Director with at least 7+ years' experience to lead our operations initiatives enabling the continued growth and success of our Paws of Honor (POH) services.


    Position Overview:


    The Operations Director will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of the services that Paws of Honor performs to deliver funds from hundreds of donors to the K-9's they are supporting.

    Reporting to the President of Paws of Honor, you will be responsible for program management of strategic initiatives, day to day operations including managing a 6 person staff, ensuring that corporate clients and donors have visibility into their financial donations, and collaborating with POH team and partners to drive efficiency, productivity, and reporting on business results.

    This position will include attending and providing operational oversight and direction of our fundraising events as well as new project initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Develop and implement effective program management that monitors project progress, identifies bottlenecks, and coordinate with Paws of Honor team members (including Board Members when appropriate) to take proactive measures to ensure excellence in the donor customer experience process, implement improvements where needed, and monitor the team's day to day operations.

    Collaborate with Paws of Honor customer service team and payment departments to ensure POH needs are incorporated into projects, improvement initiatives, business plans and timelines.

    Manage projects for Paws of Honor to improve the impact on our growing nonprofit sector, improving the infrastructure and efficiency of our current team to fund more retired working dogs' medical care over time.

    Drive next level project plan priorities along with business cases for Annual Plan approval.
    Stay relevant on donor contributions and ensure your direct reports are nurturing our donor fundraising base.

    Create and maintain a reporting framework to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business results with your direct reports given their respective areas of expertise.

    Generate periodic reports for The Paws of Honor Board, management, and stakeholders, summarizing performance and offer data-driven insights.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree and minimum of 7 years' experience in business administration, management, or a related field.

    Proven experience in operations management, program management and project management, ideally within the non-profit or K-9 sector but not required.

    Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    Interest in understanding and working with the mission of providing medical care to retired working dogs.
    Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with relevant software and tools.
    Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
    Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial planning.


    Travel:
    Willing to travel up to 5% annually.
