- Customize patients' spectacle prescriptions using a specific process and troubleshoot previous eyewear issues
- Communicate benefits of different lens products
- Know frame lines and materials to pre-adjust frames
- Take and record necessary measurements for lenses
- Input eyewear orders accurately
- Follow up on orders and ensure timely delivery
- Maintain clean visual displays and eyewear products
- Interpret and apply vision insurance coverage
- Assist with dispensing and adjusting eyewear
- Handle front desk duties
- Verify spectacle prescriptions using lensometry
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic computer skills and math proficiency preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Optical experience preferred
- Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
- Meet core customer service standards
- Practice customer skills through training
- Retail optical environment with evening and weekend hours
