Job summary
The Transfer Station Loader/Operator is responsible for overseeing the operation of a transfer station.
To do this, they must open and close the facility according to scheduled hours of operation,
oversee the schedule of where and which trucks are to dump and switching out trailers,
operate site equipment safely and professionally.
This role also involves maintaining cleanliness throughout the station,
distributing trash on floors daily,
safely directing incoming trucks to unloading areas
Certification in SWANA Transfer Worker desired within six months.
- Possess communication skills that will allow effective presentation of information in one-on-one situations.
- Possess ability to read comprehend simple instructions brief correspondence memos.
