    School Psychologist

    Location: Alvin, TX

    Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team in Alvin, TX. The School Psychologist will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students within our school community. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to promote positive outcomes for all students.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic achievement, and social-emotional functioning
    • Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for appropriate interventions and accommodations to support students' learning and development
    • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to design and implement interventions and supports for students with diverse needs
    • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral difficulties
    • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on the development and implementation of students' educational plans
    • Serve as a resource to parents/guardians, providing guidance and support on issues related to their child's academic and emotional well-being
    • Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives to promote positive school climate and student success

    Educational Requirements:

    • Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field

    Certifications:

    • Valid Texas certification as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working in a school setting, conducting assessments and providing counseling services to students
    • Knowledge of evidence-based practices for supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community stakeholders
    • Commitment to cultural competence and equity in education, with the ability to support the diverse needs of students and families
    • Dedication to ongoing professional development and growth in the field of school psychology
