The Tool Room Machinist supports production by designing,fabricating,and maintaining tooling and fixtures to meet precise specifications. This role requires advanced proficiency in operating a wide range of machining equipment including HAAS CNC machines,lathes EDM systems and other precision tools.The machinist ensures all tooling is user-friendly accurate and delivered on time while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.Primary Duties: Set up program and operate CNC mills lathes EDM machines grinders and other shop equipment.Interpret complex engineering drawings blueprintsand GD&T specifications to produce components to exact tolerances.Design fabricate tooling dies jigsfixtures;verify functionalityand compliance with specifications.Perform precision measurements using micrometers calipersand inspection tools ensurequality.Optimize machining processes for efficiency accuracyincluding tool selectionfixture design.Troubleshoot resolve machining issues independently minimize downtime.Maintain organize tool room inventory consumables raw materialsprepare purchase requisitions as needed.Ensure proper housekeeping adherence safety protocols in the too room shop environment.Communicate capabilities provide real-time support operations deliveraccurate jobcompletionestimates.Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum5 yearsexperience machinist includingtool die design fabrication repair.Proven ability operate CMC mills lathes EDmachines relatedequipment.Proficiency common software programsMasterCam CATIASolidWorks.Strong knowledge machining principles materials cutting speeds feeds heat treatmentprocesses.
