The construction manager will be responsible for the entire production team and their projects. He will supervise the project managers and oversee all aspects of the construction process, including the transition from sales and design to production on each project.

This includes overseeing the project managers as they work through pre-construction planning and scheduling through client turnover at completion. They will be the main contact between production and the rest of the management team and also act as liaisons between the project managers and the sales and design team.

As a member of the management team, He will be responsible for helping modify and implement policies and procedures for how the project management team will complete their projects efficiently and to the standards and expects to ensure that every client has a satisfying experience while working on their renovations.

Responsibilities

· Hire support and train, as needed, project managers to ensure they have the tools and knowledge needed to perform their duties

· Qualify, hire, and train new subs and trades to work on our projects

· Help manage the transition from sales and design to the production team to ensure every project begins properly

· Oversee the projects both onsite and in the office to make sure the projects are completed efficiently and on schedule

· Hold project managers accountable for all internal paperwork and accounting on their projects

· Manage the production budget as per the company guidelines

· Conduct site visits to help with issues that may arise while in construction and to ensure project managers and sub contractors are completing work to the standard of quality expected

· Help manage the relationship between the sales and design teams and the project managers to ensure proper communication and project handoff takes place before and during the construction process

· Provide weekly reporting to the rest of the management team on all aspects of the production team's responsibilities including all internal paperwork, accounting, and job progress.

· Manage individual projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Must be familiar with the management of residential construction - minimum of 10 years experience (in the city preferred)

• Must be able to read and understand architectural plans

• Must be able to put together construction schedules

• Proven records of relevant experience in managing construction teams and subs on-site

• Strong communication skills

• Experience working with clients/homeowners
