    About the role.

    As a Sr. Actuarial Analyst, you will have a vital role in driving profitability on a supportive and expanding team. You will be a key member of the Actuarial Pricing team and collaborate with several accredited actuaries. The position offers an immediate opportunity to apply analytical, problem solving, and leadership skills to support the company's growth and profit objectives.

    The Senior Actuarial Analyst position is open to be a hybrid role with the expectation to work out of the nearest office at least twice a week, if applicable, OR as a fully remote role if the ideal candidate is not located near an office.

    What you'll do.
    • Prepare rate filing indications for Homeowners, Auto, Excess Liability, and Private Collections lines of business to guide strategic decision making and support state rate filings
    • Leverage understanding of ratemaking and state rate filing laws to respond to inquiries from a variety of state departments of insurance
    • Prepare exhibits, presentations, and other documents necessary to communicate strategic initiatives to other departments
    • Support any regulatory and internal reporting and analysis needs through the use of industry and company data
    • Gain exposure to other pricing projects, including modeling and other analytical experience
    • Remain current on actuarial techniques, seek development and improvement opportunities, and understand cross-functional objectives and cultural beliefs
    What we're looking for.
    • 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred
    • 4+ actuarial exams (preferred) and actively pursuing the FCAS designation
    • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field
    • Intelligent, curious, and self-driven
    • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Analyst experience in the personal lines insurance industry a plus
    • Experience using software (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python) to extract, analyze, organize and communicate data to support decision-making
    The base salary for this role can range from $80K - $95K, based on a full-time work schedule. An individual's ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
