Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products to various locations according to scheduled routes
- Load and unload shipments using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring items are handled with care
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and addressing concerns courteously
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met
- Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory, organizing stock, and maintaining a clean work environment
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports for each route
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of route driving and navigation skills
- Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients and the public
- Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks involved in loading/unloading shipments
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred)
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to driving, moving heavy items, and operating warehouse machinery
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for route planning and documentation
