DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists Association. We have an ongoing need for Medical Assistants for our various medical specialties. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to medical professionals and ensuring exceptional patient care. Your ability to multi-task, display empathy, and maintain professionalism will contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with medical procedures and examinations
• Take patient vital signs and update medical records as necessary
• Prepare patients for tests and assist with laboratory procedures
• Administer medications and vaccines under the supervision of healthcare professionals
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect samples for analysis
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and provide them with necessary information
• Schedule appointments and manage the reception area when needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred but not required
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
• Strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs
