    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    This individual must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and must hold current LPN or RN licensure in the state of Indiana. Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support certification per hospital policy. ACLS and PALS certifications desired.

    Prior experience using EPIC electronic medical record system is preferred.

    Prior experience as an Clinical Informatics Coordinator is preferred.

    PRIMARY DUTIES:

    Confers with department directors and employees to review Electronic Health Record needs and implementation strategies. Set-up and maintenance for various clinical documentation applications and systems. Coordinates the overall implementation and training of the Electronic Health Record throughout Woodlawn Hospital. Includes but is not limited to development of departmental competencies and assistance with implementation and process evaluation. Will assist with organizational education as appropriate. Educates all new hires including but not limited to hourly staff, Directors, physicians, how to efficiently manage the electronic medical records system.

    Chart audits & review of documentation processes within the Electronic Health Record

    Identifies recurring and potentially problematic electronic documentation processes and recommends controls or methods of prevention. Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with medical staff, peers, employees, and administration to accomplish responsibilities.
