- Maintain and troubleshoot Linux systems on a day-to-day basis Ensure system lifecycles are performed (e. g. Ubuntu 18.04 LTS -> 20.04 LTS and so on with OS upgrades)
- Enterprise Authorization: Integrate Linux Systems (currently, RHEL 7/8 and Ubuntu View Job Posting Details 04:28 PM 11/29/2022 Page 2 of 3 systems) into a primary Windows environment (workstations & servers) where authentication, authorization, and accounting actives are controlled by Active Directory with PKI certificates and Single Sign On Provide administrative access based on group security, applied with least privilege and other permission access management techniques
- Enterprise Patching: Ensure patches are maintained across a diverse Linux environment (e. g. Ubuntu, RHEL7/8, CentOS, etc.) in a heavily automated manner, where possible
- Enterprise Provisioning: Configure new Linux systems for customer use and ensuring that initial configurations meet required enterprise baselines & controls (e. g. proper agents installed, proper configs, etc.)
- Enterprise Baseline & Policy: Ensure that already-provisioned Linux systems are kept in compliance with baseline requirements & ever-changing enterprise policy (e. g. equivalent to Group Policy in the Windows realm for ongoing compliance updates)
- Develop an operating system lifecycle plan with integration of DoD STIGs and other recommended security standards
- Integrate Linux systems with other enterprise tooling (e. g. ACAS, Splunk, SolarWinds, Backup systems, etc.)
- Monitor all solutions integrated via a centralized alerting system (Solarwinds)
- IAT Level 2 Certification (sec+ce, CCNA Security)
- Experience designing, maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting RHEL 7/8 servers
- Previously integrated a Linux environment into an already existing Windows Infrastructure
- Ability to patch serves across several Linux servers and incorporate an automation aspect when possible
- Experience working on a team but also being the sole engineer responsible for the environment and comfortable doing so
- Active Top Secret and willing to undergo background investigation for a higher clearance

$130-170k.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
