    ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF EDUCATION

    The College of Education (COE) at Gardner-Webb University seeks a strong candidate to serve in a tenure-track faculty position teaching curriculum and instruction and research methods courses at the graduate and doctoral level. Teaching responsibilities may include face-to-face, online, and hybrid (online and weekend) formats in fall, spring, and summer. The position requires a regular campus presence and office hours to be maintained. Screening of applications will begin immediately and will continue until filled. The 9-month tenure-track position will start on August 01, 2024.

    Required Qualifications

    · An earned doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, Educational Research, or related field

    · A minimum of five years of P-12 classroom teaching

    · Experience with and/or a commitment to working with culturally diverse and/or at-risk student populations

    · Expertise in teaching and learning principles for adult education

    · Expertise in curriculum development, implementation, evaluation; educational leadership; or educational research methodologies

    Preferred Qualifications

    · Experience with online course development and distance-based teaching methods

    · Research/Scholarship agenda

    · Experience with mentoring graduate students

    · Experience with descriptive and inferential statistics

    Teaching Research and Service Assignments

    · Teach 12 credit hours per semester

    · Teach, mentor, and advise graduate candidates through the dissertation process

    · Provide service to the College of Education, University, community, and academic profession

    · Serve on dissertation committees

    · Conduct research and scholarly activities
