SEKISUI SPR Americas, LLC (SSPRA) is a distributor of structural pipeline rehabilitation lining systems for sewer, culvert, and storm water pipe applications, located in Austell, GA. SSPRA is part of a global network of companies specializing in trenchless infrastructure repair solutions worldwide. Supported by our corporate office, SEKISUI Chemical Corporation in Japan, SSPRA provides engineered product solutions to government and consulting firms for projects in the United States and Canada.

The Technical Services Engineer performs technical engineering design duties related to all SEKISUI SPR technologies by 1) maintaining current calculation procedures for applying SEKISUI SPR technologies in accordance with accepted engineering practices, 2) providing support to sales for application design and post sale final design calculations, 3) performing project support and administration duties on large scale customer projects, such as verifying project costing, equipment utilization rates project timelines and pay requests, and 4) maintaining company owned equipment.

Primary responsibilities of this position include the following:

·      Ability to train and provide technical support on live job sites to our customers in all SEKISUI SPR technologies.

·      Understand operation procedures for our current rehabilitation processes & procedures and work to continuously update and improve according to the advancement of the rehabilitation technologies.

·      Maintain current rental equipment maintenance and procedures.

·      Maintain current inventory of rental equipment and location on a quarterly basis.

·      Develops preliminary level designs (30% Design) for use by sales in product pricing per SOP.

·      Evaluates structural, hydraulic and other requirements of product application designs, advises for additional rehabilitation requirements.

·      Stays current on SEKISUI SPR equipment means and methods, utilizes knowledge to advise sales and clients on best product application practices.

·      Performs forensic review of failing pipeline systems, provides best SEKISUI SPR technology recommendations to sales, owners and clients.

·      Remains current in other trenchless technologies, provides competitive analysis as required.

·      Prepares final design calculations (100% Designs) for review and approval by outside consulting engineers.

·      Stays current on OSHA requirements related to confined space entry provides management assistance to keep application processes in compliance with all OSHA requirements.

·      Understand industry drivers, initiatives, and key trends.

·      Understand municipal contracting and the competitive bidding processes.

·      Understand basic engineering concepts, project bid documents, including plans and specifications, and ability to summarize information for management and operations review.

·      Effectively interface with all levels of management and departments including marketing, sales, operations, engineering and finance.

·      Participate in and assist with planning conferences, trade shows, demos and industry events.

·      Understand SEKISUI's Corporate objectives and SSPRA's business objectives (3-year plan) and execute strategic business plans to meet those objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

·      High School Diploma, is required, and Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited school, is a plus.

· years of relevant engineering experience with construction, piping, or land development.

·      Experience and knowledge of leading trenchless technologies for water and sewer pipe rehabilitation, strongly preferred.

·      Good knowledge and understanding of pipe rehabilitation and/or general infrastructure contracts in municipal context.

·      Strong computer skills - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Programs and Salesforce, is required. AUTOCAD experience is a plus.

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·      Strong problem solving, organizational and time management skills.

·      Ability to work with a team of Regional Sales Managers and Marketing professionals.

·      Ability to negotiate and finalize rental agreements customers - experience with contracts preferred, including ability to make modifications to agreements to the mutual benefit of company and customer.

·      Possess a strong customer focus and the ability to develop solutions for customer needs.

·      Ability to consistently achieve on time and on budget objectives.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

·      Ability to work a hybrid schedule from the Austell, GA headquarters office and your home office, subject to change as business needs change.

·      Ability to spend up to 80% of your working time traveling on the road visiting potential customers, current customers and their job sites, visiting the SEKISUI regional headquarters, visiting the SEKISUI corporate headquarters, visiting SEKISUI manufacturers' sites and attending trade shows / demos. Good time management skills are needed to plan ahead for all travel.

·      Ability to spend time outdoors at project sites in unpleasant environments.

·      Ability to travel to job sites and locations inside and outside of the United States.
