    Assistant Nurse Manager - Vascular Access & Infusion Services

    Full Time (80 hours) - 8 or 10 hour shifts

    Day/Midnight rotation depending on the needs of the department

    ​ChristianaCare is currently seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for our Vascular Access and Infusion Services teams. In this role, the Assistant Nurse Manager will assist the Nurse Manager in the clinical and administrative activities of the department in order to ensure patients the provision of quality care. The ANM will also assist the Nurse Manager to oversee these departments - which are located at both Newark and Wilmington campuses.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervises all nursing and technical personnel: Assesses competency of staff, oversees daily staffing and scheduling needs of department, evaluate staff performance, counsel/coach staff member as needed.
    • Participates in hiring, promotion, and termination decisions.
    • Functions as role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors.
    • Directs, mentors and supports all levels of staff.
    • Develops, implements and monitors performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
    • Identifies and develops strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and professionalism of staff.
    • Analyzes administrative and operational functions; implements appropriate changes and system wide improvements.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
    • Master's degree in Nursing required within 5 years.
    • Three years' appropriate acute care, clinical experience required.
    • Leadership experience preferred.
    • Appropriate clinical certification required.
