    The Role

    You will be responsible for managing and transforming production operations, including handling alerts, managing incidents, debugging and fixing the issues and identifying potential risks and mitigating them before they are realized. You will also handle requests filed by users (Operational users, Business, Upstream teams, downstream teams) of a product or system. Your primary responsibility is troubleshooting and resolving errors, and throughout your work you must constantly log details for later reports and provide the team with updates. When not fixing issues, you are involved with non-functional product development and improving processes.

    Troubleshoot Issues

    When technical/Operations issues with the product arise, you must act quickly to analyze the available data and find the root cause of the problem. You should be able to read and debug the source code to analyze the issues. You may then develop a solution working with the product/development team.

    Contribute to Product Development

    You will have to participate in all stages of the product development process. Additionally will also create useful tools such as internal software to automate key processes or platforms.

    Assist Users

    This role entails interacting with product users, Operations, Business, other engineering teams, upstream/downstream product members etc.. These interactions can occur in various setups, including in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, and live messaging chats. In all of these cases, its vital to address concerns promptly and maintain a helpful attitude.

    What Youll Definitely Need

    B.S. or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)

    2+ plus years of experience in a programming language like Java and scripting language like Python

    Experience working with database (DB2/Sybase)

    Knowledge of working with Unix/Windows environment

    Familiarity with SDLC tools, Change Management, Version Control etc.

    Autosys

    Experience of working in Financial Services or Fintech industry would be highly advantageous
