    Customer Service Specialist Description


    Our client in the logistics industry is looking for a Customer Service Specialist to add to their team in Columbia, MD.

    In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for assisting current and potential customers by taking, entering, and setting up new orders as well as following up on pricing requests, and answering customer questions.

    You will have the opportunity to grow into a sales or freight management role, and take on new opportunities and earnings potential.

    To be successful in this role, you must have excellent organization and time management skills, as well as excellent communication skills.

    Ideal candidates will have experience interacting with customers on a daily basis.

    Customer Service Specialist Responsibilities


    • Contact current and prospective customers to follow up on open opportunities
    • Take orders from customers
    • Enter orders; complete the setup
    • Complete change orders
    • Update existing orders; e-file order documents
    • Assist Sales Reps with opportunities
    • Update the status of opportunities in the CRM
    • Assist Sales Reps with the onboarding of new customers
    • Prepare and send customer requested reports
    • Obtain Purchase Orders from customers
    • Provide track and trace updates to customers
    • Attend 10+ hours of training per year
    • Promote the company and the brand
    • Provide the best customer service and support in the industry
    Customer Service Specialist Qualifications


    • Customer-facing experience required
    • Excellent communication and time management skills required
    • Strong MS Office and computer proficiency required
