- Contribute to audit teams, completing assigned tasks and communicating effectively with team leaders.
- Undertake increasingly challenging assignments with professionalism.
- Conduct research on audited agencies, including statutory examination.
- Travel to audit locations, collect evidence, and perform audit fieldwork.
- Assist in drafting audit reports and findings.
- Complete other duties as delegated by supervisors.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred, or relevant accounting education/experience equivalent.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver's license.

About the Job:
The Auditor of State's office (AOS) is seeking accounting professionals in Ashland County and neighboring areas like Wayne, Richland, Crawford, Marion, Morrow, Holmes, Knox, Delaware, Union, Licking, Madison, Pickaway, and Fairfield counties to join as external financial auditors. The auditors play a crucial role in ensuring that public funds are used in compliance with established regulations. Team members work closely in small groups conducting financial audits for government entities such as cities, villages, and schools.
