    As a Credit Union Head Teller, you'll be at the forefront of our member-focused operation.

    You will provide outstanding member service while handling transactions, assisting with inquiries, providing training and guidance to other tellers, and promoting our financial products and services.

    Schedule:

    Regular full time hours between 8:00 AM and 5:45 PM Monday through Friday and alternating Saturdays from 8:45 AM to 12:15 PM.

    Pay:

    Starts at $41,000 per year

    Summary:

    Supervises tellers in receiving and processing counter transactions, mail, and phone requests. Balances and maintain cash drawer as well as assisting tellers with balancing and maintaining their cash drawers. Trains new hires.
    Requirements:

    Must effectively carry out the essential duties and responsibilities of this position in a manner that consistently demonstrates Austin Telco's mission and culture in a positive manner.

    include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Opening and closing the branch.
    • Provide accurate, courteous, and prompt service to members, both over the phone and in-person.
    • Provide members with account balances, services available, and general information.
    • Directs members to department necessary for services required.
    • Post payments, deposits, withdrawals, and other pertinent information to accounts as required.
    • Opens new accounts for member ensuring all products, services, and associated fees are discussed and disclosed to the member.
    • Assists members in the process of obtaining/closing a loan.
    • Must possess sufficient knowledge of the online computer system to post information correctly and efficiently.
    • Close accounts ensuring there are no loan balances, outstanding VISA/VCC or check transactions, or open safe deposit boxes.
    • Familiarity with security procedures, including operation of alarms, camera equipment, and cash vaults.
    • Balance cash drawer in a timely manner.
    • Ability to process stop payments, VCC fraud/dispute paperwork, ACH paperwork, and wire requests.
    • Opens, closes, makes changes to, and performs transactions on Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs).
    • Opens, closes, and makes changes to share term certificates (CDs).
    • Assists with mobile deposits as assigned.
    • Assist other management when necessary.
    • Use cross selling to inform all member of credit union services available to them at every possible opportunity.
    • Attend all training sessions as assigned.
    • Works cohesively with the management team.
    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Directly supervises employees in the teller department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
    Education and/or Experience:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of related experience and/or training in a financial institution setting.

    Good credit standing is also required and will be verified during pre-employment stage.

    Once a contingent job offer is made, a criminal background check as well as a drug test will be completed.
