    What is PACE North? PACE stands for Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly. We are new and unique option for individuals 55 and older who qualify for nursing facility level of care and wish to remain in their homes as they age. What does that mean? We care for the elderly at our day center on Garfield near Hammond during regular business hours and as needed in their home. Never heard of us before? That's okay, we're new to the region. We began serving the elderly in 2019 and our service model is so popular it's growing quickly

    What does an Occupational Therapist at PACE North do? Occupational Therapists at PACE North are a key component in helping our participants in the healing process. Since PACE North is the insurance company for our participants, there's only great participant care measured in ways other than productivity. Care decisions are made by our awesome Interdisciplinary Team, who provide a coordination of care and provide training to family members, friends, and PACE North staff. As an Occupational Therapist, you'll join this great team Be prepared to travel to our participants homes and provide in-home care as well as at our center on Garfield. This role comes with lots of one-on-one care for our participants You'll also will help in the discharge planning for our participants from the hospital, assisted living, or skilled nursing facilities, implement treatment programs, and supervise our program aides

    Requirements


    What qualifications should you bring to the table? We're looking for that special person who loves helping others with a positive approach. We're seeking a graduate of an accredited OT curriculum with a current Michigan Occupational Therapist license. Prefer 2 years of OT experience and a minimum of 1 year experience working with the frail or elderly. You will also need a CPR certification, and a valid Mi driver's license, reliable transportation, valid auto insurance, and that intrinsic desire to serve our region's elderly population
