    Job Details:

    • Work 12-hour shifts - Days 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or Nights 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
    • Expect to work 4 shifts per week
    • Weekend requirement depends on coverage - usually every other weekend
    • Holiday requirements depend on coverage
    • Float between 2 critical care units (ICU and PCU) and occasionally to other departments if necessary
    • ICU patient ratios of 2:1 (sometimes 3:1 depending on acuity), PCU ratios of 4:1
    • Work with 24 beds in ICU and 26 beds in PCU
    • Care for cardiac patients post CABG or PCI, sepsis, DKA, and respiratory failure patients
    • Critical care experience required
    • Must be able to titrate drips including Levophed, amiodarone, heparin, precedex, propofol, cardene, nitro, neosynephrine, and dopamine

    Required certifications:
    ACLS and BLS


    • Navy blue scrubs required
    • New employee orientation first week with orientation shifts on both ICU and PCU
    • Use Paragon charting system
    • Work with bedside monitors and monitor bank at charge desk
    • No on-call or standby requirements
    • BSN not required

    Facility:


    This healthcare facility operates comprehensive critical care services including a 24-bed ICU and 26-bed PCU with full-time intensivist coverage during day hours and hospitalist coverage around the clock.

    The facility maintains advanced respiratory therapy services 24/7 with equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, and Airvo systems.

    The organization provides specialized cardiac care for post-surgical patients and comprehensive critical care for various high-acuity conditions including sepsis and respiratory failure.
