    Position Overview: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Cerritos, CA. As an SLP, you will play a vital role in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders. This is a contract position, offering the opportunity to work with a diverse student population and collaborate with a supportive team of educators and therapists.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech and language abilities.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication goals.
    • Provide direct therapy services to students with articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents/guardians, and other school staff to support students' communication needs in the classroom and other educational settings.
    • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
    • Document assessment results, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with state and federal regulations.
    • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on students' goals and objectives.
    • Stay informed about best practices in speech-language pathology and special education through professional development opportunities and ongoing training.

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
    • California state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
    • Previous experience working as an SLP in a school or educational setting preferred.
    • Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques used in treating speech and language disorders.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
    • Commitment to providing culturally responsive services and supporting the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
    • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
