    BASIC FUNCTION: Knowledge of all basic accounting principles.

    What you will have an opportunity to do:

    **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

    Complete monthly bank reconciliations.

    Complete the daily income audit including counting cash.

    Facilitate Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, Cash Handling, and Reconciliations.

    Build working relationships with our Sales & Banquets team.

    Compile and review all group billings.

    Maintain and review all Ledgers (Guest, City, Deposit, & Gift Card)

    Maintain corporate files including but not limited to administering contracts, leases, maintenance agreements, license and fees, PUC/ICC filing, memberships, etc.

    Obtain required information for processing of annual renewals of insurance policies

    Directly assist Controller with day-to-day accounting procedures.

    Maintain and process bi-weekly payroll.

    Partner with HR to oversee benefits administration.

    Train with all of the staff in the accounting department, to gain full understanding of each of their functions.

    Assist Controller with monthend checklist.

    Assist in preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements.

    Maintain all contracts, leases and other legal and financial records.

    Maintain summary of maintenance contracts and leases.

    Record minutes of accounting staff meetings and distribute to Human Resources.

    Sort and distribute mail.

    Maintain the highest level of employee/guest relations.

    Maintain a good working relationship with all Departments.

    Adhoc projects determined by Controller and/or other Executive Committee members.

    **PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:**

    Ability to manage time and energies in an efficient, effective and organized manner.

    Must be compassionate, positive, motivated and driven.

    Excellent verbal and written skills are necessary to perform administrative and clerical duties using proper rules of grammar, spelling and punctuation.

    Computer literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, familiar with internet page browsing and extraction of data conduct complete internet research.

    Ability to maintain strict adherence to confidentiality requirements.

    Ability to operate phones, calculator, computer equipment, copiers, and printers.

    **QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE**

    Experienced in accounting processes.

    Ability to accomplish necessary tasks on a computer.

    High school diploma or equivalent experience/training.

    Ability to effectively communicate in the English language.

    Hospitality experience is preferred.

    **BASIC FUNCTION:** Knowledge of all basic accounting principles.
