    Description

    Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills during research and/or product development.

    Detailed Description:

    Perform system design trades relating to hardware and software. Prepare and present design reviews to teams and other groups of customers.

    Design electronics for camera system functions including low-noise camera power, low-noise ADC circuits, communication signal and video output into various format.

    Work with teams including System, Software, Firmware, Mechanical and PC layout engineers to refine requirements and interfaces. Work with Project/Program managers to define schedules and work with manufacturing to define test and assembly processes.

    Product design considerations including electronics packaging, power/thermal, compliance tests, EOL forecasting

    Design verification including creating plans, generating test stimulus, running and debugging tests for the integration and production phase of products.

    Responsible for releasing and maintaining complete design documentation according to procedures and supporting manufacturing and customers throughout the life of the product.

    Acts as liaison between Design Engineering and Camera Manufacturing in solving design problems with existing products.

    Provides support to Camera Manufacturing to solve engineering problems related to production or test systems.

    Assists Design Engineering during the product development phase to assure a smooth transition to Manufacturing and Test.

    Develops test and troubleshooting hardware.

    Assists Client Services in answering customer questions.

    Requirements:

    Bachelors degree in technical discipline (minimum), advanced degree

    desired

    At least 5 years+ experience in a similar technical environment- preferred

    Product development experience from concept to production highly

    desired

    Previous experience in the infrared industry highly desired
