    JOB DESCRIPTION:


    The Power Platform Specialist II is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on Dynamics 365 (Sales, Customer Service, or related modules).

    This role requires heavy leverage of Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, Power Automate Desktop, Power BI, Report Builder, Copilot Studio) to enhance automation, reporting, and data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

    The Power Platform Specialist will be responsible for driving the digital transformation through Microsoft's technologies.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Configure, customize, and support Dynamics 365 applications to meet business requirements.
    • Design and implement plugin-based automation within Dynamics 365 Business Process Flows to streamline stage transitions, enforce validations, and optimize end-to-end operational workflows.
    • Manage solution packaging and deployment of Power Platform and Dynamics 365 solutions across Development, Test, and Production environments, ensuring quality and stability.
    • Build and maintain solutions using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven) integrated with Dynamics 365 data as well as other enterprise systems and organizational datasets.
    • Create and assign custom dashboards in Dynamics 365 Sales to specific users or teams, ensuring each user sees a tailored view of critical sales metrics.
    • Create, design, and deploy Power Apps applications that streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and support business projects across the organization.
    • Automate processes using Power Automate (Cloud and Desktop RPA) to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort across multiple departments, partnering with stakeholders as needed to drive efficiency organization-wide.
    • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI and Report Builder, delivering data solutions that provide actionable insights for decision-making and directly support users in their daily work.
    • Configure and maintain Power BI Row-Level Security (RLS), Audiences, and App Access to enforce secure, role-based permissions while delivering tailored content experiences across user groups.
    • Build and manage Power Platform Dataflows to extract, transform, and import data into Dataverse, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across applications.
    • Partner with business stakeholders to capture requirements, analyze business needs, and leverage information into effective technical solutions that align with organizational goals.
    • Provide support and troubleshooting for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions, escalating complex issues when necessary.
    • Assist in preparing documentation and delivering training to support user adoption of new tools and processes, with the opportunity to lead training sessions as expertise grows.
    • Stay current on the latest Microsoft technologies, including Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform, and recommend innovative solutions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, dependable, and flexible to potential schedule changes to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
    • Executes each essential duty satisfactorily to perform job successfully.
    • Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop user documentation and contribute to training efforts, including instructional videos and webinars, with the potential to lead future training initiatives.
    • Some travel may be required.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year accredited college or university and 3 to 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
    • 3-5 years of experience working with Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Platform.
    • Proficiency in Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service modules, including configuration of Business Process Flows, Forms, Views, Dashboards, and Security Roles.
    • Experience with solution lifecycle management and ALM best practices.
    • Hands-on experience with Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Automate Desktop, Power BI, Copilot Studio).
    • Solid grasp of data models, system integrations, and reporting principles, with working knowledge of relational database concepts (tables, keys, relationships, queries).
    • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, Excel) to support collaboration and data management.
    • Experience and solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts (queries, joins, data modeling).
    • Experience with RPA concepts and automation best practices.
    • Skilled in leveraging AI-powered tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT to improve efficiency and solution quality, while maintaining sound judgment and technical rigor.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues, adapt quickly, and pivot when priorities or circumstances change.
    • Effective communication (verbal and written) with both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Collaborative mindset and eagerness to drive continuous improvement.

    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    • Ability to adapt and adjust plans to meet changing needs.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 or Power Platform (preferred but not required).
    • Master's degree in a related field.
    • Multilingual abilities.
    • Experience with Python or other scripting languages (R, PowerShell, C#).
    • Microsoft Fabric experience; Microsoft Fabric certification preferred.
    • Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake).
    • Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools such as Power Automate Desktop.
    • Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 or Power Platform (preferred but not required).

    COMPENSATION RANGE:
    $81,000 - $125,000
    Salary may vary based on experience.
