**Description**
UWL is looking for an Ocean Import Freight Forwarder to join our team in Dallas, Texas.
This position also provides remote flexibility once training is complete.
**Scope**
We are seeking a candidate that will display attention to detail, commitment, professionalism, and sense of urgency
Must have the ability to prioritize with well-developed multi-tasking skills
Establishes and maintains positive relationships including effective, proactive communication with both internal and external customers, vendors, and government agencies
Helps bring creative solutions and routing options to management and the customer
Attitude to provide the highest level of service to customers
Escalates uncommon, complex issues to the next level manager for resolution when necessary
Excels in a team environment
**Responsibilities**
Delivers excellent customer service
Maintains a customer-level SOP, which outlines customers service expectations and details
Works with agents abroad to insure timely shipment bookings
Communicates rates/costs to agent and customers
Tracks and traces shipments with carriers & communicates discrepancies to customer
Corrects invoicing of fees to customers, as outlined in the customer SOP
Preparation of freight payments and tender of bills of lading to carrier
Confirms and communicates all import milestones to customer (e.g.: ETD, ETA, Arrival, Dispatch, Delivery, etc.)
Meets minimum productivity and established KPI goals
**Requirements**
2 - 5 years import logistics or supply chain experience
Detailed knowledge of ocean/air imports
Ability to work in fast paced environment, well organized
Intermediate computer skills required including Microsoft Office
