    Description

    The Project or Senior Project Engineer is a professional engineer with extensive experience in civil or environmental engineering, a strong background in water and wastewater systems or land development, and excellent project management skills.

    Position Overview:

    A reputable local engineering consulting firm is seeking skilled and experienced Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers in both the civil and environmental engineering disciplines. This firm is committed to providing comprehensive engineering services with a focus on civil site improvements, water and wastewater systems, and environmental permits. You will be able to contribute to impactful projects and advance your career in a supportive and flexible work environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and conduct engineering work requiring independent judgment and evaluation.
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of other engineers and technicians.
    • For environmental engineers: Focus on water and wastewater treatment systems.
    • For civil engineers: Emphasis on land development, hydrology, and hydraulics.
    • Develop and implement engineering studies, plans, and designs.
    • Manage client interactions, project planning, and execution.
    • Apply master planning concepts to larger projects (Senior roles).

    Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in engineering software (AUTO Civil 3D experience is desirable for civil engineers).
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Leadership and team management capabilities.
    • Ability to make independent decisions and manage multiple projects.

    Requirements:

    • Licensed engineer with relevant experience.
    • Project Engineer: 3-5 years of experience (in Civil or Environmental discipline).
    • Senior Project Engineer: 10+ years of experience (in Civil or Environmental discipline).
    • Expertise in environmental engineering (water and wastewater treatment) or civil engineering (land development, hydrology, and hydraulics).
    • For senior roles: Ability to supervise and review the work of other engineers and technicians.
