Analyst - Inventory Control - Indianapolis, United States - MacAllister Machinery

Description

Objective

This position will provide daily inventory reports and analyses of inventory levels and product demand to determine reorder levels, thus ensuring product availability and minimizing inventory costs for all branches.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Review stocked items daily and replenish as necessary.
• Review non-stocked items daily and add to inventory in accordance with ordering policies.
• Review all non-returnable parts processed in parts database, daily.
• Provide assistance to all branches. This includes inventory control queries, returns, backorders, and problem solving.
• Ensure parts-replacement updates are accurate and completed daily.
• Monitor and maintain stock of new equipment in territories according to recommended stock list.
• Complete inventory control projects as assigned.
• Coach and provide guidance to fellow inventory control analyst.

Occasional/Other Responsibilities:

• Assist Inventory Control Manager in monitoring and maintaining literature purchasing from CAT and process customer's invoices, both internal and external.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate Degree
• 2 or more years of experience in related field, Caterpillar Parts Operations

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 5 or more years of experience in related field, preferably with Caterpillar Parts Operations.
