Currently were made up of four breweries (Victory Brewing, Bold Rock, Sixpoint, Southern Tier Brewing) and one distillery (Southern Tier Distilling). We have locations in 5 states (NY, PA, OH, VA, NC) including taprooms, production facilities and our corporate headquarters.

    **WHAT WE DO**

    Our corporate teams support our family of brands through managing the back office work so the team members who support in the production of our products can focus on making great tasting, innovative quality craft beverages. Our shared services team is made up by accounting/finance, human resources, marketing, and sales, who are all skilled in their space and share a love of craft beverages.

    **WHAT YOULL DO**

    The ABV Transportation Managers primary responsibility is to drive lower transportation costs and increased keg turns throughout the ABV network. They will achieve this through four main ways: (1) competitive carrier bidding (2) utilization of customer equipment (3) optimization of 3rd party keg returns & carriers who haul outbound shipments and (4) identify opportunities to insource lanes to utilize company owned equipment.

    ***Reports to:*** *Director of Transportation & Logistics*

    Coordinate and execute daily and weekly keg collection schedules to drive the most possible keg turns.

    Coordinate with the distributor to arrange the collection of empty kegs while making a delivery using the weekly customer shiplist.

    Works with the Warehouse Managers to balance the receipt of inbound kegs.

    Record and manage shipping and collection data of kegs.

    Tracks key keg metrics and has the ability to make decision based on those metrics.

    Manages the relationship with our reverse logistics keg collection vendor and determines cost-effective keg return distribution to our facilities based on demand.

    Leads RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes and requirements with bid process execution and negotiation of transportation pricing, service, and quality.

    Ensure suppliers are effectively managed and held accountable through measurement of performance, including delivery performance, cost reduction/control, and response time.

    Collaborate with the Director of Transportation & Logistics to understand the strategic direction, supply requirements, business objectives, and priorities in order to execute effective sourcing and demand management strategies.

    Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers while ensuring ongoing management of contracts and associated metrics/KPIs and continuous improvement efficiencies.

    Work with Warehouse Managers and Logistics Coordinators to investigate the causes of damages, shortages, overcharges for freight, and other customer complaints and well as provide resolutions.

    Understand current and future trends and act as a subject matter authority related to transportation market trends, influences, and impacts.

    Demonstrates financial analysis skills including the ability to assess supplier proposals and understanding of supplier cost structure.

    Identifies Logistics process improvement opportunities using strategic and critical and analysis.

    Understand and supervise the execution of best-in-class transportation services.

    **WHO WERE LOOKING FOR**

    Bachelors degree preferred - Supply Chain or Logistics oriented is ideal.

    5+ years of broad logistics, transportation/fleet management experience ideal.

    3+ years of truckload asset experience ideal.

    Knowledge of transportation regulatory requirements such as FMCSRs & DOT Compliance

    User of data driven tools/techniques for root cause determination & continuous improvement

    Strong communicator when leading complex projects & various business partners

    Self-starter able to stay motivated with minimal supervision.

    Facilitator of change management & detail oriented while managing multiple tasks.

    Proven level of integrity and consistently professional demeanor.

    Team player able to effectively work on a small team.

    Excellent planning, organizational skills and analytical problem-solving skills.

    Expert in Microsoft Office including ability to create and manipulate Excel pivot tables.

    **Work Environment ** Duties are primarily performed in an office, with frequent trips to the production and warehouse areas where occasional lifting may occur. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a damp, wet environment with hot liquids, airborne particles and moving machinery. The noise level in the work environment can be very loud.
