- Doctoral degree in optometry issued by an accredited school / college of optometry
- Residency or Fellowship training
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as an optometrist
- Advanced knowledge and skills of optometry essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to this position
- Advanced knowledge associated with diagnosing eye diseases and varying eye conditions
- Must be able to communicate complex findings of examination to patients in a clear and concise manner
- Requires advanced communication and presentation skills
- Position must be able to work with diverse client group
- Skills to provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff member
- Must be able to work in a highly collaborative manner with staff, faculty, and members of the health care community across the campus.
