Job summary
We are seeking a skilled and patient-centered Ophthalmic Technician/Assistant to join our ophthalmology team This role supports physicians and clinical staff in delivering exceptional eye care by performing diagnostic testing preparing patients for examinations and assisting with clinical procedures.Conduct and document patient medical histories chief complaints and initial assessments Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity tonometry pachymetry OCT visual fields and fundus imaging Prepare examination rooms equipment and instruments Assist ophthalmologists during minor procedures Administer eye drops perform pupil dilation follow proper medication protocols under supervision Educate patients on treatment plans medications post-procedure care Maintain accurate timely charting in electronic medical record system Ensure equipment cleanliness calibration readiness Support patient flow scheduling maintain clinic efficiency
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in ophthalmology
