- Partner with EHS, Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain, Product teams, and Global Sustainability to identify climate and environmental risk areas and communicate such risk areas to business partners, along with action plans to address risk and drive compliance with relevant legal requirements.
- Assist with the development of internal policies and procedures and work cross functionally with Comcast Sustainability, Product, EHS and Finance teams.
- Support the Sustainability team with various projects and initiatives that support regulatory compliance, ratings and ranking, and disclosures.
- Provide legal analysis of legislative, regulatory, and advocacy materials in support of Government Affairs activities, and participate in relevant legal groups in connection with trade associations, serving on advocacy development teams, as needed.
- Develop and lead training sessions for various business units on environmental and ESG related topics.
- Assist with developing and deploying processes and procedures to manage third-party/vendor risk across the company, relating to ESG and other risk areas.
- Perform other compliance program-related duties as needed and assigned.
- Law Degree from top tier US law school. Top 20% of class and law review strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with US and non-US laws addressing environmental requirements, sustainability, supply chain requirements, and/or human rights regulations, including but not limited to SEC Climate Regulations, California Climate regulations, TSCA, EPA Regulations, EU Directive on Corporate Social Responsibility, EU Regulatory Frameworks, Human Rights, REACH and RoHS, UK Modern Slavery Act, and related ESG laws and regulations.
- Ability to think strategically to analyze and resolve issues proactively, effectively, and efficiently and to build collaborative relationships with senior management, business leaders, Supply Chain, Legal, Sustainability, and others, while managing shifting priorities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within a rapidly changing and fast-paced environmental, sustainability, and ESG laws and regulations and is able to translate these regulations into processes and controls for Comcast.
- Experience in driving regulatory compliance across a public or private company, including tracking, assessing, and ensuring business units understand and have processes in place to remaining compliant with domestic and international ESG regulations. Demonstrated ability to analyze facts and identify issues, collect data/evidence, draw valid conclusions, and prepare reports.
- Ability to work effectively with other attorneys, compliance specialists, and business partners, including overseeing and directing work of others.

Job Summary We are looking for an In-house Counsel to join the Cable Legal Compliance team.The role will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice and counseling on environmental, sustainability, and ESG-related matters and initiatives on a global basis.
The successful candidate will be a highly skilled, law-firm trained lawyer with significant experience providing regulatory advice in the areas of environmental compliance, sustainability, and/or human rights.
This is a front-line role for a confident, proactive, business-minded lawyer with excellent judgment and integrity who can work with colleagues across the organization to drive compliance with all applicable laws and company policies.
Identify potential risks for mitigation; remain current on relevant laws and regulations, guidelines, and best practices.Requires minimum 4-6 years of legal experience at a large firm or corporation in a regulatory role, preferably in the environment, sustainability, and/or ESG space.
