    Essential Functions and Objectives:

    • Trains and assists staff with Assistive Technology (AT) usage and services through professional development programs and in-services, or by providing one-on-one consulting and technology support. Manages inventory and distribution of AT devices and software to schools.
    • Provides differentiated support for school staff members in the functional use of Assistive Technology (AT) devices.
    • Develops support tools as needs arise for device usage.
    • Assists with existing and new technology set-up and management.
    • Provides training and support to special education staff related to the use of Assistive Technology.
    • Problem solves and researches solutions as issues arise.
    • Supports staff in student technology use across departments.
    • Manages department inventory and distribution systems, ensuring that systems align with broader AT Implementation Plan.
    • Collaborates with relevant District departments to ensure cohesion of technology systems.
    • Directs communications with device vendors to troubleshoot network compatibility and other technology troubleshooting.
    • Participates in department long-term planning and collaborates closely with related departments to coordinate efforts.
    • Drives to school locations on a weekly basis.

    Knowledge, Experience Other Qualifications:

    • Two (2) or more years experience in one or more fields of technology.
    • Experience training or instructing on technology skills in an educationalenvironment.
    • The ability to take responsibility for one's own performance.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Effectively handles multiple demands and competing deadlines.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.
    • Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multicultural environment with districtand school leaders, faculty, staff and students.
    • Works collaboratively with others on a team.
    • Aptitude for variety and changing expectations in a fast-pacedenvironment.
    • Ability to drive to school locations on a weekly basis and lift 40 poundswithout assistance.
    • Experience with common assistive technology devices and software,including Read Write, BoardMaker, Clicker 7, etc.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides.
