- Review and submit completed encounters to RCM or other billing portals efficiently.
- Communicate errors confidently and coach team members to prevent recurring issues.
- Track and manage no-show appointments, providing feedback to clinical leadership.
- Engage with insurance companies and payers to verify payment statuses.
- Bill client responsibilities via credit card or invoice for copays, deductibles, and no-show fees.
- Participate in bi-weekly meetings with RCM vendors to discuss payment flow and resolve issues.
- Familiarize yourself with the practices of assigned insurance carriers.
- Collaborate with collections teams to optimize past due receivables.
- Utilize various communication methods including phone, email, and EHR messaging.
- Take ownership of the client experience for specific groups covered by health insurance carriers.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned to support team objectives.
- Post-secondary education beyond high school is desirable, with preference for medical office certification.
- Two-plus years of experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in behavioral health, and familiarity with EHR systems.
- Experience with major insurance carriers and demonstrated billing and coding expertise.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, payers, and colleagues.
- Exceptional time management and attention to detail in a high-volume environment.
- Proven ability to work independently and self-direct in a remote setting.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
- Familiarity with Zoho CRM and Zoho Voice preferred.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes.
- Maturity and integrity in handling sensitive HIPAA information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Access to a personal computer with video and audio capabilities, a second monitor, and a reliable high-speed internet connection (mobile tethering is not permitted).

ROLE OVERVIEW
This is a unique opportunity to take charge of the coding and billing functions at Open Mind Health. Your role will be crucial in ensuring smooth revenue cycle management (RCM) processes, timely cash flow, and error-free billing submissions.
