    SUMMARY:

    The Certified Nursing Assistant aids with the nursing care of patients under the supervision and direction of licensed nursing personnel. The CNA is responsible and accountable for completion of tasks as delegated by nursing, within their scope of practice. Nursing care is provided in accordance with standards of regulatory agencies while upholding Gosnold Values and adhering to established policies and procedures. We are currently hiring for 32 and 24 hour positions both days and evenings.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Obtain and document vital signs.
    • Complete point of care testing and document results under the direction of the nurse after demonstrating competency.
    • Support patients in meeting their individual needs regarding nursing care.
    • Adhere to Universal Precautions for Infection Control and to proper procedure for disposal of sharps.
    • Maintain nurse's station neat, free of hazard, and consistent with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
    • Complete in-service training programs.
    • Maintain awareness and working knowledge of all Gosnold procedures relevant to this position.
    • Adhere to the Professional Staff Code of Ethics.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, Experience, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job.

    • Education: Highschool Degree or equivalent
    • Experience: Two (2) years of healthcare experience preferred.
    • Skills: Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral. Ability to navigate electronic medical records.
    • Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Certified Nursing Assistant or student nurse with one semester of practicum completed. Current CPR certification or the ability to be certified within three (3) months of hire.
