    Introduction
    Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer position. This position is a contract to hire opportunity which is expected to be on-site in West Chester, PA 19380.


    Summary
    This is an opportunity for a Senior Electro-mechanical Engineer, working in the West Chester, PA manufacturing facility.


    Job Description:

    • Design mechanical structures, supports, BUS work, electrical controls, metering and communications to meet customer requirements.
    • Create parts lists, metal drawings, BUS drawings, assembly drawings, BOM as well as Operation & Maintenance Manual in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Detailed-oriented and organized in documentations. Follow and improve the standard design process and the best design practices.
    • Coordinate with our vendors as needed and focus on manufacturability, client specifications, functional and regulatory requirements.
    • Create designs specific to low voltage & medium voltage electrical switchgear assemblies/systems, replacement breakers and related equipment.
    • Makes changes and corrections in the mechanical/electrical design throughout the life of the product.
    • Effectively collaborate with production and other engineers to ensure functionality, manufacturability, reliability and cost.
    • Effectively support other departments such as project management, production, and sales.
    • Create engineering reports/submittals that clearly address the technical needs of a project.

    Qualified candidates would have the following:

    • Experienced in the design of electrical switchgear and UL891. Familiarity with UL1558, MV Metal Clad is nice to have.
    • PLC and controls experience is required.
    • PE license in power systems and controls preferred or demonstrated ability to acquire one.
    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in similar industry.
    • 5+ years of design experience in electromechanical, circuit design, electrical design, etc.
    • Strong experience in using AutoCAD (2D), AutoCAD Mechanical, or Autodesk Inventor (3D) preferred
    • 4-year bachelor's degree is required.
