    Broker Coordinator - Health Insurance

    Summary

    Manages and develops relationships with brokers that sell all Commercial lines of business and can fully back up the broker relations team for Medicare and Individual private exchanges. Assists with growth in broker sales for Commercial & other lines of business as needs arise. Develops and delivers training to brokers and agencies related to networks and products that are newly developed or enhanced annually. Develops full knowledge of products to assist with broker onboarding, selling and answering all questions from brokers or agencies related to employer or member issues.

    Formal Education Required

    a. Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

    Experience & Training Required:

    a. Two (2) years experience in contracting, recruiting/training brokers and agencies, to include working with brokers and agencies in some or all of our product lines.

    Essential Functions

    The following job specific requirements should discuss the essential duties and responsibilities required of the position. They should not replicate those duties and responsibilities discussed above.

    1. Works directly with Sales and Account Management teams to elevate sales and retention strategies and grow and retain the commercial business
    2. Works with leadership to implement programs for onboarding of agents and vendors to improve our broker portal and other strategic tools to improve broker relations
    3. Works in a fast paced environment to solve issues presented by brokers related to employer, employee or other member issues
    4. Assists with recruiting and training of new brokers and private exchanges.
    5. Supports compliance audits of brokers by ensuring all areas of sales/marketing techniques used by brokers comply with federal and state regulatory requirements.
    6. Develops and executes annual and ongoing broker training on new products, plans and networks for commercial lines of business.
    7. Assists with annual broker training to introduce and educate brokers and their staff on the Medicare product offerings to meet CMS regulations.
    8. Able to float in different job functions and fill in where necessary in department during high peak times, including taking inbound calls from prospective members.
    9. Networks with outside organizations, assists with coordination of promotional events, and provides information to management staff concerning marketing activities and competitor information.
    10. Assists with tracking of effectiveness of broker program and productivity of the broker sales force.
    11. Assists with day-to-day observation of activities including training, planning, motivation, and performance evaluation of brokers.
    12. Performs all job functions with integrity. Provides timely internal and external customer service in professional, cooperative and respectful manner.
    13. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:

    a. Ability to develop and execute broker training programs on how to onboard and product knowledge

    b. Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment

    c. Strong presentation skills

    d. Ability to set up events and coordinate speakers

    e. Strong phone skills and high level of interpersonal communication skills

    f. Ability to communicate complex information verbally and in written form that may include policies and procedures, financial, legal, and/or technical documents and opinion papers;

    g. Ability to problem solve under pressure

    h. Ability to provide guidance required to promote success of the all lines of business

    i. Ability to influence without authority.

    d. Manual dexterity to operate standard office machines.

    $25.29/hr - $37.94/hr

    The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
