    Position Summary:

    Responsible for performing clerical support duties for the mortgage department. Audits first and second mortgage loans to ensure all required documents and signatures are obtained. Responsible for sending completed loan packages to Mortgage Servicing or investors based on delivery guidelines and checklists. Maintains a positive attitude and conducts business in a professional manner. Assures that all members, staff and visitors are treated with consideration and respect and is responsible to meet production levels set by USF Federal Credit Union.

    Essential Functions Include:

    • Audit loans for missing paperwork, internal errors, or missing signatures. Works with Mortgage Processors/Closers, title companies and members to obtain all required paperwork, signatures, and error corrections to complete the file.
    • Work within Agency loan delivery portals (FHLMC,FNMA) to upload XML files, review reports and meet investor deadlines. Bundle appropriate documents necessary for delivery to investor. Obtain any signatures necessary to complete the sale. Provide any additional documentation requested by investor after sale.
    • Responsible for opening, distributing and processing mail received in the department. Updates LOS/log to reflect when documents are received.
    • Prepares files for servicing and records departments and provides support to internal and external customers.
    • Responsible for ensuring receipt of and imaging closing packages, recorded mortgages and final title policies. Utilizes LOS reporting/log to monitor receipt of these items.
    • Uploads mortgage forms and any other required documents in the appropriate county for recording. Confirms all documents are received and recorded by the county.
    • Update LOS loan status and investor information.
    • Supports any other mortgage department staff including; mortgage loan originators, closers, and loan processors.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Reports to:

    Mortgage Operations Assistant Manager

    Required Education and Experience:

    • A high school education or G.E.D.
    • 1-3 years of similar or related experience.

    Additional Skills:

    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
    • Automated Loan Origination System experience– preferred, however not a requirement
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must have a high level of organizational skills, analytical skills and be able to multitask
    • Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of CFPB Regulations to include TRID, the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to: U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.

    Work Environment:

    Hybrid environment – In-office one day per week

    Physical Requirements:

    Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10lbs of force occasionally to life, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
