    Position Overview

    Are you excited about the idea of applying data to make the world a better place? Building operations today is inefficient. Up to 50% of maintenance expenditure is ineffective, 30% of energy is wasted due to poor design and operational decisions, and as much as 50% of the operational carbon emissions comes from buildings and manufacturing facilities.

    We are seeking a seasoned technical leader who wants to help us improve the world by improving the efficiency of building operations. You are someone who isn't afraid of technical complexity, knows how to hire and develop high performing technical teams, understands how to build modern cloud technology, and delivers customer value.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead all aspects of Tandem building analytics and insight from early stage proof of concept to commercial availability and beyond
    • Manage an agile engineering team that consistently delivers engaging experiences and high value outcomes for our customers
    • Collaborate with Tandem platform engineering, product management, design, and other disciplines to ensure strategic alignment, frictionless product development process, and high-quality outcomes
    • Provide mentorship to managers and individual contributors
    • Provide technical wisdom and guidance in everyday decisions
    • Drive operational excellence in services developed and deployed by your team
    • Own, influence, and implement broader initiatives that drive the success of the Tandem business

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Previous experience managing an engineering or product development organization
    • 12+ years of related engineering and product development experience
    • 5+ years of leading teams of engineers
    • Ability to break down complex ideas and deliver them though pragmatic, iterative objectives
    • Positive, can-do approach that inspires collaboration
    • Excellent facilitation, influencing, negotiating, and decision-making abilities
    • Strategic mindset and a passion for promoting engineering to drive alignment, innovation, and contribution to product strategy
    • Fluent in current product development methodologies and modern cloud technology

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working in Building Management, Building Automation Systems, and/or Fault Detection and Diagnostics
    • Experience working in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industries
    • Experience working with data analytics
    • Experience building products with technologies such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence

    Salary transparency

    Salary is one part of Autodesks competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $188,400 and $304,700. Offers are based on the candidates experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
