- Maintain technical understanding of compliance requirements for various affordable housing programs
- Monitor compliance for a diverse portfolio
- Review & Approve all resident files prior to certification deadline
- Maintain & Review state housing agency monitoring compliance manuals and state specific compliance requirements
- Assist in state and investor file audits and conduct necessary research to prepare response
- Assist in agency and investor reporting
- Maintain OneSite Database
- Assist in revisions to company procedures and forms
- Assist with training property management staff on compliance
- Compose and proof materials
- Demonstrates and follows the Oakbrook Values: Ethical, Professional, Collaborative, Family
- All other duties as assigned
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Education or experience in insurance, auditing, investigation, banking, real estate, or finance
- Affordable Housing experience (HUD Sec. 8, Tax Credit, Rural Development, HOME, CDBG, etc.)
- HCCP and/or COS Certificates are a bonus
- Computer software applications knowledge and Microsoft suite skills

Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for monitoring the compliance for a diverse portfolio of both senior and multi-family properties that include multiple funding sources from Affordable Housing Programs such as Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Section 8 Project Based Vouchers, Rural Development, CDBG Funds, and HOME funds.
